I'm on holiday!

Hey lovelies,

I am going on holiday tomorrow so will not be blogging for the next two weeks. I also won't be able to reply to any emails so if you do email me I promise to get back to you as soon as I am home.

I also really want to thank you all for the lovely emails, it's always so lovely to hear from you. A few of you have suggested I start a youtube channel, which I may do eventually, but definitely not in the near future, although it's so sweet of you to suggest it.

Anyway, I will be back with you, with lots of holiday-themed posts, in April.

Cocomelody Wedding Dresses

Hey lovelies,

As I have mentioned before, my flat mate got engaged recently! So when cocomelody reached out to me to talk about their gorgeous dresses we definitely had a lot of fun looking at them!

I absolutely love weddings so this was post was so much fun to put together. These dresses are seriously stunning so I wanted to share a few of my favourites with you!

They have some really pretty wedding dresses on their site. I really love their backless wedding dresses. The details on these dresses are so dramatic and gorgeous. Their designs are so chic, and they have so many variations you can definitely find something that is to your taste.

The open back wedding dresses can be really classic, with lace detailing, or something more modern and different. My flat mate has said all along that she wants an open back dress, and I can totally see why.

Cocomelody currently have a seriously great sale going on, so if you're getting married or know someone who is I would definitely recommend having a look over on their site! You can also use the code below to get 20 dollars off! So that's even better.

What style of wedding dress do you like?

Braids day!

Hello lovelies,

Sorry this post is a little late, one of the joys of university is that deadlines all seem to be around the same time! I have spent a silly amount of time in the library or in my room researching but I can happily report I am finished! That is definitely a huge relief.

During this time I have definitely not been wanting to fuss too much with my hair so I thought it would be the perfect time to practice my braiding abilities. I absolutely love a messy fishtail braid, but recently I have been into boxer braids and french plaits. While I still haven't perfected the boxer braids, I think I have the french ones down haha.

If you want to do these yourself, the lovely Carli Bybel has a great tutorial here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDdLr2aK8rs although hers are a little higher than mine.
I have not given up hope yet on the boxer braid, so if you have seen any great tutorials I will love you forever if you share them with me.

Hope you're all having a great week,

Primark Dress for a Night Out.

Hey lovelies,

So last week my baby sister turned 18 which was super exciting. She came and stayed with me at my place in uni and I took her for her proper night out. We had such a good time. I took her to a really cool cocktail bar for drinks and then to a club. She was so excited to use her ID for the first time.

I also found this adorable faux suede dress the week before so I decided to wear it out. I am really happy with it because its from Primark!! It's so great when you can find a bargain in there that you really love. If you like it they also do it in pink. Primark rarely do clothes that are nice enough to wear on a night out so I was so happy to find this.

What are your best places to find a bargain?

Mothers Day

Hi lovelies,

This Sunday in the UK it is mothers day! While this is definitely not something we all celebrate, it is a lovely reminder to think about the people in our lives that take care of us, and thanking them for it. Mothers Day doesn't have to involve anything to lavish. This weekend I plan on cooking for my mum, partly because all the restaurants will be manic, and partly because I think it's a lovely thing to do. For this blog post, I thought I would share with you some amazing cookery resources so maybe you can think about cooking for your mum this weekend.

Ina Garten

Ina is one of my favourites and her recipes are so amazing. She has such a great website, http://www.barefootcontessa.com/ that features so many recipes which are really amazing. Watching The Barefoot Contessa on TV is also fantastic motivation to get cooking!

Donna Hay

Donna Hay is my mums favourite TV chef. While I haven't decided quite yet what I will be cooking, it will definitely be one of her recipes. She also has a great website over at https://www.donnahay.com.au/ and there are so many of her amazing recipes on Pinterest.

http://www.supercook.com/

I have only recently found out about supercook and I am already obsessed. You simply state what ingredients you have, and they show you recipes you can create with those ingredients. You can also choose what cuisine type or meal type you want. You can also state what restrictions you may have, such as nuts, meat or dairy. This is such a great resource and it is so useful and cost effective.

Pinterest

I have mentioned Pinterest before on Christie Belle because it is so fantastic for recipes. If you nee inspiration Pinterest is definitely the place to go for it. Plus y ou can save as many things as you want which makes the process so much easier.

I hope you all have a wonderful Mothers Day
